On 21 st October,1988. Chaophaya Terminal International Co.,Ltd. (CTIC) made history 

when they enter into an agreement with the government to manage Port of Songkhla and

Port Of Phuket under  the general supervision of the Monitoring and Support Committee  

set up by the Ministry of Transport and Communications.
